Fernando Mendoza

Mendoza has shown leadership, poise, accuracy and true personality in his run for the Heisman trophy this year. He is nearly a lock to be the first player off the board in the 2026 NFL Draft and he has the size, skillset and pedigree to lead a franchise. Mendoza seems to have the IT factor that makes him more Burrow than Kirk Cousins but it's worth noting that his pocket passer style of play doesn't usually lead to fantasy superstardom. In an underwhelming QB class, Mendoza stands alone as the only true franchise QB; I'm a fan of his and view him as a Bo Nix like fantasy talent.
